About this project

Is

Isla Traena is a sad and funny short film script about how lonely and strange it gets when someone you love dies.

It's by Freddy Syborn. Freddy co-wrote three series of Bad Education and the Bad Education Movie. He also wrote the ITV2 sitcom Cockroaches and contributed some sketches to Psychobitches.

The thing is, to bring it to life we need some support and we need some money. And so we come cap in hand with a Kickstarter campaign, which is currently live and gratefully accepting pledges, and offering rewards.

If you'd like to, and can help - please click the logo below to go through to the Kickstarter page.

We're confident that - together - we can make something good. And so we've assembled some of the best young actors and crew in the game, including...

[Drumroll]

ANTONIA THOMAS (SUNSHINE ON LEITH, SCROTAL RECALL, MISFITS)

DANIEL LAWRENCE TAYLOR (COCKROACHES, HUNDERBY, UNCLE)

SUSIE CHRYSTAL (ANATOMY ACT)

WERUCHE OPIA (BAD EDUCATION, TOP BOY)

Our Director of Photography is the great Sarah Cunningham, who shot Frenching The Bully for Wits' End.

We have original music by Felix Hagan, of Felix Hagan & The Family fame.

And assembling and finessing the film in the edit is Jack Hextall.

Any support you might be able to offer is incredibly important to us and helps us help these talented people do what they do best: Make films in collaboration and make them superbly.

Thank you.
